Big update week 7

Dear readers,

With this update we would like to let you know that the subscription for the study tour will start soon! To be exact, from February 25th to March 6th at 12:00 a.m. The costs of the trip will be €1200 plus €250 for unforeseen circumstances. Transportation, overnight stays, meals, excursions and activities are included. If during the trip everything goes as planned and hoped, every participant gets these €250 back after the trip.

As announced before, the trip will take place from approximately week 34 till week 36. A condition for participation is having 130 ECTS at the moment of subscription. If you have 140 ECTS or more, you will have priority. The specific registration protocols will be posted online in the near future. Furthermore, each participant needs to contribute to solving a case from a company. This will take about 75 to 80 hours in a couple of weeks or months, depending on the case you will be solving. More information about this will follow once you have subscribed!

If you have any questions, send them to or ask one of the members of the study tour committee!

Update progress week 3

Dear enthusiasts,

It’s been a while since our last update! Several things have happened since we entered the year 2015.

  • Mr. Ben van Beurden is the CEO of Royal Dutch Shell, he is the newest member for our committee of recommendation! Right now we already have six members on the committee of recommendations for the study tour!
  • In addition, our external relation members have been in contact with companies for more discussion regarding cases. Hopefully these meetings will result in several cases that the participants can work on.
  • We have created several designs of posters and banners in order to attract attention for those interested as well as sponsorship for companies. These will be posted in the Gemini buildings.

Stay tuned for more information as we start to near the end of January.

Update progress week 47

Dear readers,

It’s weekend! This means that we are one week closer to the registration date. The following things has happened the last week and keeps us busy for the coming week(s):

  • Currently our main focus is reaching out to companies that are willing to offer cases. These cases are meant to finance the expenses of the study tour. The cases will be given in semester B of the academic year 2014-2015 to the participants of the study tour. These cases are mandatory in return for 3 weeks of fantastic experience!
  • We have received several offers from travel agencies. Currently, we are discussing which agency has the best offer and whether programs or upgrades can be taken to satisfy our preferences and needs.
  • We are pleased that Mr. H. Molenaar, ambassador of the Netherlands stationed in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, is willing to join the Committee of Recommendation. Our secretary is currently busy with sending more invites for the committee.
